Board of Directors

The Board consists of seven non-executive members and two Ex-Officio members, appointed by the Minister responsible for Communications in terms of the CRA Act, 2012.

Dr. Oekansio Basuti
Chairperson

Dr. Oekansio Basuti, PhD

Board Chairperson · Botswana International University of Science & Technology

Dr. Oekansio Basuti is a Professional Electronic and Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. He is currently the Head at the Department of Electrical and Communications Systems Engineering at the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST). His research interests include Satellite Communications, Digital Signal Processing, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

He serves as leader of the Signal Processing, Networks, and Systems Research (SPANS) group and has previously served as a Telecommunications Engineer with the Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana (CAAB) and as both Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the IEEE Botswana Sub-section. Dr. Basuti holds a PhD in Electronics and Information Engineering from Loughborough University, United Kingdom.

A distinguished finance professional with over two decades of senior leadership in public financial management and fiscal governance. Fellow of ACCA-UK and the Botswana Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy.

Ms. Lalegang George

A Partner at AMAMO and attorney admitted to the High Courts of Botswana, with extensive experience in commercial law, data protection, compliance and governance. Expert in GDPR and Botswana data protection legislation.

A seasoned Human Capital leader with over 20 years of experience in HR, Organisational Development, Employment Relations, and Change Transformation. Certified Professional Business Coach (PCC) and OD Certified Consultant.

A Media and Communications practitioner holding a PhD from RMIT University, Melbourne. Senior executive skilled in strategic planning, content management, and media productions. Currently a lecturer at the University of Botswana.
